Dementia-Friendly System of Care

We are excited that you are interested with participating in our six-part workshop series.

With support of the Iowa Geriatric Education Center and The Heartland Cognitive Care Collective, you will develop a strategic plan to improve and expand care for persons with Alzhiemer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). 

This program is offered at no charge. 

The six workshops will focus on: the Iowa system of care for persons with ADRD; evidence-based care for persons with ADRD; a review of your current programs and practices; staffing and reimbursement; designing a hub and spoke model of care; and crafting a viable strategic plan.

The workshops will occur once a month starting in January of 2027.

You will be expected to join us for each of the 90 minute online sessions and also  complete a small amount of “homework” in preparation.

These homework assignments then will be incorporated into your strategic plan, highlighting action steps and a viable pathway for your organization to improve and expand care for older Iowans with ADRD
